Taken from an image in the Florentine Codex, two figures illustrate the definition of Patlache, described by the friars of New Spain as a filthy woman who practices lesbian love. In Patlache Ant Nest, a band of toothed vaginas, in complicity with a cactus and a carnivorous flower, conjure the presence of the Transtemporal Patlache. The Patlache of the codex transforms into a portal/temazcal leading to a patriarchy-free subterranean dwelling, and the figure accompanying her in the codex is guided and converted by leafcutter ants, who descend through a tunnel carrying their harvests to a lesbian brewery. There dwells the Chicatana Queen, whose wings will become the banner for the proliferation of other subterranean legions of organized festivities.
